VALENTINE- A DAY TO SHOW LOVE
The 2016/2017 set of St. Catherine College celebrated the Valentine’s Day at the motherless babies’ homes. The first visit was to Ibadan motherless babies’ home which was founded by Mrs. Solanke of Blessed Memorial. At the venue there were various babies undergoing training: mostly, babies ranging from ages 1-2years whose parents were either dead or undergoing treatment. Moreover, the babies were so hale and healthy. There was a particular baby named Adewunmi who got the attention of almost everyone. She was very lively, energetic and playful. The Ss3 students had fun playing with her.
The second visit was to Chesire motherless babies home. The Ss3 students were welcomed by a woman on a wheel chair. Most students were terrified and sad after seeing the children. However, the Ss3 students were welcomed with a song and most students became very emotional. Some even gave
thanks to God for who they are. On the long run, the woman on the wheel chair prayed for the school, the ss3 students and their parents.
The visit to the motherless babies’ home is indeed a visit never to be forgotten. No matter the situation one finds his/herself, one should always show love to others and be grateful to God.
